BIGBELLY IN THE SPOTLIGHT IN CHARLESTON, SC!
The City of Charleston introduces the Bigbelly solution for smart cities, highlighting the new technology on WCSC Channel 5’s “You Paid for It” segment. The city is thrilled to deploy 120 new Bigbelly stations, which are estimated to reduce garbage bag consumption to 2,812 garbage bags a month from the current 17,863.
The City of Charleston is on the leading edge of this smart waste ecosystem, partnering through Bigbelly Connect, Bigbelly’s leasing & comprehensive service program. Through Bigbelly Connect, Charleston estimates savings of $200,000 a year. The stations are being utilized both on cities streets and in parks.
