Regional Sales Account Executive – South Central US

Position Description:

Primary Responsibility: Selling new Bigbelly waste units (and software) to targeted new accounts and existing Bigbelly accounts within the assigned geography.

Success in this role will require; remote and in-person sales of the Bigbelly solution/system. Ability to strategic-sell in a 6-12 month sales cycle. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a combination of thoughtful sales strategy, creative planning, and aggressive engagement across the stakeholders of targeted account list.

An ambitious mentality and the ability to be focused, organized, and flexible in a dynamic environment are critical. This is a high-activity position, with unlimited growth potential, reporting to the Regional Director of Sales – Central US. The role will ‘call high’ and all other needed levels, and interface primarily with medium and large municipalities, colleges/universities, and some enterprise accounts, in the South Central United States, building a high value pipeline of sales opportunities.

Will require approximately 25% travel within the multi-state regional territory. Work from home office in region.

Responsibilities:

  • Focused Business Development of assigned accounts in territory, prospects, and existing customers.
  • Bigbelly fleet “Deployment Reviews” with proprietary CLEAN Software demonstrations to executive levels and mid-levels.
  • New business development and Salesforce CRM pipeline creation of opportunities from existing customers and new prospects.
  • Outbound calling/mailing to target accounts/lists.
  • In territory, in-person sales calls, account planning and forecast management.
  • Bigbelly HQ Marketing initiated campaigns follow-up.
  • Other projects as assigned in support of the Sales and Marketing organization.
  • RFP, Contract, and proposal development.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years + of sales experience exceeding sales targets
  • Bachelor’s degree / or equivalent experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • MS Office and Salesforce.com experience
  • Strong attention to detail and follow through
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team setting
  • Prior selling to municipalities and universities
  • Salesforce.com experience
  • Positive, determined, winning attitude
  • Prior sales skills training courses, seminars, etc.
  • Startup, small company, and large company work experience mix
  • IOT, SaaS, hardware sales experience
  • Ability to sell across multiple stakeholders within same account
  • A true interest in sustainability, environment, efficiency etc.

Inside Sales Representative – Outbound & Inbound

Position Description:

Bigbelly Inside Sales Representatives play a critical role in the Bigbelly Sales organization. The Inside Sales Team is accountable for strategically generating all new business opportunities for the Bigbelly sales team and for driving small to midsize opportunities to close within their territory. The ideal candidate for this role is self-motivated, results oriented, professional, and an expert communicator.

This sales quota bearing position is responsible for the entire sales process for Bigbelly’s small to midsize opportunities and for executing strategic lead generation campaigns. Lead generation campaigns are strategically targeted towards potential Bigbelly customers within the assigned territory and consist of cold calls and cold emails. Success in this role will be dependent on one’s ability to build enough interest with potential customers via cold calls and cold emails that the prospect agrees to a sales web presentation. Ideal candidates for this position must be confident and skillful at giving sales presentations and should be able to navigate sales calls with ease. Our sales process requires ability to determine customer pain points and key drivers for adopting our product.

This is an entry-level position reporting to the Director of Sales, ISS & Distribution Channel in Needham, MA.

Responsibilities:

  • Business development to add new business to the company pipeline
  • Research into assigned territory to select targets
  • Marketing campaign development, implementation, and follow-up
  • Outbound sales calling and emailing
  • Inbound sales follow-up
  • Present the Bigbelly product to leads via web conferencing platform
  • Contact sourcing for key players within target region

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
  • Experience cold calling preferred
  • Experience giving presentations preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • MS Office experience
  • Time management skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team setting
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com
